The beginning of something big
Redtail (Unknown) 1/18/2008 1:00 PM
In August of the year 2004, something very big happened in the midwest. Just over one hundred players arrived in full-gear at Realms of Ruin in Bourbonnais, IL, for SLE's first Codename: THUNDER 24-hour AirSoft game. The following year, nearly 175 players signed up. THe third year, over 200, including some from outside of the country. In August 2007, over 300 players signed up, making this the biggest official AirSoft event in Indiana or Illinois. FOr $15, you can own a copy of the first video made. Great for a memento of your first Illinois 24-hour game, if you attended, or as a piece of AirSoft history. Look for the COdename: Thunder 2 video, available now, and soon to be available, the CT3 video, available in webisodes at www.codenamethunder.com. The videos are awesome, but can't hold a candle to the games.
