In the past, tactical personnel and military officials complained that when wearing body armor, thier shirt pockets were not available and the extra layer created an unbearably hot environment. Tru-Spec found the answer with their Combat Shirt. In an improved design it has reclaimed cargo pockets now located on the sleeves and most importantly it has reduced heat creating material which separate the base layer and creates a comfortable, durable and naturally thermal resistant body that also wicks moisture. The combat shirt, originally known as the army combat shirt or ACS, was developed for the United States Army as an addition to the Army Combat Uniform but is now used by any tactical professional or public safety employee who uses an outer tactical vest. The Tru-Spec 1/4 Zip Tactical Response Combat Shirt TRU (Poly/Cotton) produced by TruSpec Uniforms by Atlanco is a stand-alone shirt designed specifically for use with a tactical vest or body armor in warm or hot weather. It is intended to greatly increase user comfort through the use of lightweight, moisture-wicking, and breathable fabrics.
